Paver Patio Design
Our patio design team uses a proven process to understand your patio needs and budget, while providing insights on best practices to ensure that the finished patio is beautiful, durable, and practical.
Part of the patio design process involves determining how you will be using the patio space to accommodate uses such as entertaining, grilling and walking. The best patio designs maximize your enjoyment of the additional living space.
Once we understand which patio features are most important to you, we help you select patio furniture with respect to available space and layout of built-in features such as a bars, grilling stations, seating walls, or fire pits.
Key elements of the patio design are additional pathways and paving color requirements for heat dissipation. We also consider patio landscaping, including landscape beds, overall landscape, lighting, and irrigation needs.
Our team will help design and phase all of features within your budget.

Before the First Design Consultation
We recommend that our clients gather ideas about preferred patio types and landscaping area (front yard, back yard, or both). It’s also very helpful to have pertinent documents and information such as: surveys, house plans, pictures of the area to be landscaped, and any other documentation that will help our designers scope and plan your landscaping project.

Design Process
Step 1: Initial Patio Design Consultation
Our first landscape design meeting typically takes place with our design team at our design center in Columbia Station.
We meet with each client to gather information about the patio design project, explore ideas in our design center, and review the budget and potential project phasing options.
STEP 2: Start the Journey
A Patio Design and Consultation Contract will be presented based on the agreed upon scope and budget of the landscaping project.
STEP 3: Patio Site Analysis
Once the design deposit has been received, one of our design professionals will schedule time to do a complete site evaluation of your property, including taking all necessary grades, measurements, plant inventory, and “before” photos of your project.
STEP 4: Patio Design Concepts
After all site work is complete, our design team will begin the conceptual design process using the information gained in the initial concept meeting and the site analysis data.
STEP 5: Patio Concept Review Meeting
At the concept meeting, we review exciting, custom patio concepts with you.
This is a very interactive part of the landscape design process where we present and explain all options, answer questions, and provide photos of similar projects. We also discuss approximate costs, get your feedback, and make any adjustments.
STEP 6: Patio Concept Plan Finalization
We present the final patio plan and proposal for approval. Once the plan is agreed upon, it will be time to decide if you are ready to start the installation process.
At this time, we collect a deposit for 25% of the project.
