Minimum 5 years experience with compensation based on experience.

    Fleet Mechanic

    Moscarino Landscape + Design, a regional family-owned landscape firm, currently has an opening for Fleet Mechanic, an exceptional opportunity to join our team of professionals. As a mechanic you will schedule maintenance, implement safety standards and provide technical support for our operation. Candidate will also run and organize the warehouse and be the go to person for scheduling all break downs.

    Candidate must be extremely organized and proficient in small engine, as well as two cycle equipment, we have a fleet of approximately 40 trucks both gas and diesel as well as a large fleet of 2 cycle and small engine equipment. Position will be 40 hours a week and applicant must have valid driver’s license.

    Are you a current landscape business development professional with outside sales experience looking to take your career to the next level? As a Business Developer you will need outside sales experience preferably in the landscape industry. You will be calling on a wide range of customers from retail centers, apartments, home owner association, and management companies. The role of a Business Developer will be to build a client list and assist in developing the territory required. Our Business Developer will have experience in prospecting clients, listening, consulting, and building a relationship with the client.

    Qualifications of the Business Development/Sales Position Include:

    • Prefer a 2 year degree in Business, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture or marketing

    Landscape Foreman

    Moscarino Landscape + Design a family owned regional landscape firm, a leader in creating and designing award winning landscapes and in commercial lawn maintenance and ice management has an exceptional opportunity to join our team of professionals as we expand our existing service lines at our two locations based in Columbia Station and Beachwood.

    We have three different foreman opportunities listed below, please read each job description and specify which position you are applying for and which branch you would prefer to work from.

    Construction Foreman

    Provides leadership and direction to work crews, this person will also have constant interaction with our project manager and homeowners. The Construction Foreman serves as the working supervisor on the job site and is actively involved in work to complete landscape, lighting, and hardscape for the company. Position is technically skilled in all areas of production and knowledgeable of company operations. The position is able to run multiple complex jobs, multiple crews and provide assistance as needed.

    Responsibilities/Activities

    • Directly supervises Crew members of work teams as required
    • Works with minimal supervision and leads a team to complete landscape, lighting, and hardscape in an efficient manner
    • Assists crews in carrying out their duties as needed. May be working and managing multiple jobs at one time
    • Manages labor, sub-contractors, equipment and material with minimal supervision to accomplish production schedules within established budgets
    • Maintains strict adherence to established schedules and budgets to meet gross profit objectives
    • Reads installation plans, parts lists, and other instructions. Ascertains materials and resources needed and instructs crew leaders and crews accordingly. Ensures all equipment and resources are ready for the job site daily
    • Assists designers with stakeouts and job measurements
    • Communicate any equipment problems to management and ensures resolution
    • Prepare all equipment needed for job site daily
    • Supervises the work for all assigned job sites or projects. Is responsible for quality assurance and ensuring jobs are completed on-time and within budget as well as submitting daily times sheets
    • Observe and enforce safety procedures and company policies. Provides training on safety related issues. Either general safety procedures and practices or specific job related requirements
    • Reports any safety concerns to appropriate parties and plays key role in resolution

    • Able to shoot grades and operate mini-excavator and skid-steer

You will be working under our Landscape Operations Manager and overseeing a landscape maintenance crew of between 3-5 persons.     Commercial Lawn Maintenance Foreman Responsibilities Include:

    • ***Maintain weekly commercial maintenance route and lawn mowing schedule. (NOT PART OF Enhancement/Detail Foreman JOB DESCRIPTION)
    • Being punctual to work at 7:15 am during lawn maintenance season
    • Daily cross check of all equipment to ensure safety
    • Directly supervises crew members of work teams as required.

The ability to multi-task in this fast paced setting is essential. This is a full time position. QuickBooks experience is a plus.

    Job responsibilities will also include reviewing and preparing contracts, routing crews, data entry, and running reports. Support for the accounting department will entail billing, invoice reconciliation, job costing and subcontractor payroll.

    Landscape Project Manager

    Moscarino Landscape + Design is recruiting an experienced Landscape Project Manager to execute high dollar residential landscaping projects to meet demanding customer expectations.  Responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supplying orders, overseeing equipment, foremen and crew members along with other managerial responsibilities to ensure the projects are completed accurately, timely and to the satisfaction of the customer.

    Skills Required

    • Creatively and professionally capable of constructing desirable, complex landscape designs, including the reading and understanding of drawings.
    • Capable of working in a high paced, rapid changing environment with managers, supervisors and installation.  Must be able to manage multiple projects and adjust crews schedules as needed based on client demand, weather, etc.
    • A working knowledge of horticulture, irrigation and installation.
    • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and proficient in use of technology.
    • Must be able to manage multiple crews and projects at the same time.

    Education/Experience Required

    • Extensive knowledge of landscape construction.
    • 5 yrs experience on projects.
    • Ability to run projects from job layout to completion, meeting industry time standards by utilizing basic business and construction related math skills.
    • Experience with job P&Ls, planning, project implementation and wrap up.
    • Management, leadership and mentoring of foremen, including team members education and training.
    • Collaboration and communication with sales representatives, designers, subcontractors and clients.
