Before the First Pool Design Consultation
We recommend that our clients gather ideas about preferred pool types and sizes, as well as the landscaping area.
Providing pertinent documents and information such as surveys, house plans, and pictures of the area where the pool will be used, (and any other documentation) will be very useful to our designers in scoping and planning your in-ground pool.
In-Ground Pool Design Process
Our proven in-ground pool design process ensures that our design team has a clear understanding of your outdoor recreation needs, pool design desires, and budget interests, while maximizing your return on investment.
This process also helps us determine the best approach towards designing and constructing your in-ground pool with options that can be completed in phases and paid for over time.
STEP 1: Initial In-Ground Pool Design Meeting
Our first meeting typically takes place with our pool design team at our headquarters in Columbia Station, Ohio. We meet with you to gather information about the pool design project, explore in-ground pool ideas, recommend pool materials, and review the budget and project phasing options.
STEP 2: In-Ground Pool Site Evaluation
Once the pool design and installation project has been approved, one of our pool design professionals will schedule time to conduct a complete site evaluation of the property.
We will take all the necessary grades and measurements, an inventory of current foliage and plants, and “before” photos of your property.
In some circumstances, we will hire an engineer to help develop retaining and grading plans.
STEP 3: In-Ground Pool Design Concepts
In the pool design concept review meeting, we present and explain all the appropriate in-ground pool options and costs based on the site study data.
Once we have reviewed the designs and incorporated your requested revisions, we finalize the pool design.
STEP 4: Pool Construction and Installation
To initiate the pool construction process, we collect a deposit for 25% of the project.

Depending on the size of your project, the timeline for installation can range from several weeks to over a year.
At checkpoints scheduled throughout the project, our team will do walk-throughs to regularly ensure that all of our clients’ questions are answered and that the project continues smoothly through final completion.
